About Wingate, IN - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Previously known as Pleasant Hill, Wingate is a town located in Montgomery County. This small community is only home to about 260 residents, and it is found within Coal Creek Township.  The North Montgomery School Corporation provides educational services to the community, with students attending Pleasant Hill Elementary, Northridge Middle, and North Montgomery High School.

With only a couple of hundred residents in Wingate, there aren’t any major attractions here. However, archers and hunters might like to check out the Hilltop Archery Pro-Shop. Wingate area restaurants also included the Spartan Inn, Wingate Pizza Works, and the High Street Bar and Grill.

Fortunately for Wingate residents, nearby Lafayette offers a variety of attractions and cultural opportunities. The Columbian Park Zoo is a popular destination for families with children, while adults might prefer an afternoon at the Wildcat Creek Winery or Haan Mansion Museum of Indiana Art. Other noteworthy destinations include the Tippecanoe Mall, the Art Museum of Greater Lafayette, and Clegg Memorial Gardens.

Weather conditions in the Wingate area feature four very different seasons, each with varied conditions. Typical of the Midwest, Wingate can be found in a humid continental climate zone, and summers are hot and humid. The hottest month of the year is July, and average highs reach into the high-80s. Central air conditioning is a necessity to most residents to make it through the season, although these systems will be turned off in favor of a furnace after only a few months.

Winters in Wingate are cold with variable precipitation. To stay safe when outdoor temperatures fall below freezing, it is crucial that residents have a reliable gas or electric furnace in place. Without these units, home plumbing systems and pipework could be at risk of freezing, and the end result might be the need for some expensive repairs.
